Our goal is to make art which conveys the happiness we feel about the world and its processes.  We have so much fun together, and hope our work reflects the lightness, playfulness, and exuberance of life. 

Fiber Artist

It was the element of texture, both tactile and visual, that drew Kathie to textiles as a medium. Teaching nationally put her in contact with art quilters and exposed her to a new way to use fabrics to make art.

Ceramic Artist

Working in porcelain, Catharine uses slab building techniques in which she embeds texture and patterns resulting in a variety of shapes - from ikebana containers and vases to sculpture and wall art.

Metal Sculptor

Grace has been described as a force of nature and her metal sculpture is an expression of that.

Painter

“Minimalist landscapes” is a perfect description of his paintings. Mountains and trees are a common theme, as well as sheep and small farmhouses.

Wood Sculptors

Today wood is carved, inlaid, etched, painted and burned. It’s an exciting medium and artists such as Melissa and Graeme are at its forefront.

Chad Alice has worked and experimented for more than 45 years with clamp resist dyeing / mark making on hand felted and woven wool.

Tom and Kathleen's flawless work is diverse, but much of it is inspired by Western North Carolina, including the Pisgah View mountain rings they are well known for.

Robert’s attention to detail and meticulous craftsmanship add elegance, and a fluidity that is often unexpected in such unforgiving materials as steel and wood.
