Scheduled Tours

Monday Half-Day Art Tour

Let’s start the week off with art! Join me for a half-day art tour to 3 artists’ studios in the Asheville-Weaverville locale.  We’ll visit professional artists working in a variety of mediums to give you a terrific overview of what the area has to offer.  This tour is a perfect way to get an introduction to the art scene here, while seeing some of the areas’ top talent.

The schedule is set with 3 different artists on each date, so please be sure to look at the description and links for each tour to see our lineup!

Tours begin at 9:30am and end at 1pm.  Meet at the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce lower parking level, Exit 4C of I-240, 36 Montford Ave., and we'll ride together.

Friday Glass Studios Tour

Full day, Fridays, 1x month from May – October

Interested in Glass? Then this is the tour for you! Go with me and spend a fascinating day meeting some of the top glass artists in the nation…all right here in western NC. These tours are offered once a month, and have a set lineup of glass artists included.  Each tour will visit 4 glass studios in the mountains of NC and we'll see what’s happening in these professional studios in this glass-centric region.  Visits will include both sculptural and functional works by contemporary artists.  See our artist lineup and click the links for more information.  Tour, transportation and lunch included.

Glass Studios Tour - Day 2 option

See Chihuly at The Biltmore and try making glass yourself

You have the option of adding a second day to your glass tour!  Book an extra day on the Saturday following the studio tour and we will go to the North Carolina Glass Center and have a hands-on experience of blowing glass.  You can make a paperweight or an ornament and learn more of the intricacies of the art of glass by trying it yourself.  We’ll have lunch, then continue our day by going to The Biltmore Estate; this tour will include admission to the Biltmore House and the Chihuly at Biltmore glass exhibition in the house and on the grounds. Transportation, lunch, hands-on experience and Biltmore ticket included.
